Exploring the Past and Present Life of Colored Glaze

It is the first time to acknowledge the existence of "glaze colour" and use the concept of "glaze colour" from "Chinese ancient ceramics atlas". In the entries about Brown color, brown green color and white glaze green color in the book, the characteristics of "brown color in glaze", "brown green color in glaze" and "green color in glaze" of Qionglai kiln in Sichuan and Changsha kiln in Hunan in Tang Dynasty are introduced respectively. This shows that "glaze color" as early as the Tang Dynasty, this kind of colored porcelain has been successful in firing and become a formal product.
